Color combinations borrowed from the garden

Gardens offer color combinations that feel natural because we already know them together. A single flower bed can become a complete embroidery palette.
Notice the supporting colors
Do not look only at the brightest bloom. Pay attention to dusty stems, deep green shadows, pale petals, warm soil, and the small flash of a contrasting center.
Translate nature into thread
Choose one dominant color, two supporting shades, and one unexpected accent. Sage with blush and rust feels gentle; indigo with leaf green and cream feels fresh.
Take a photo on your next walk and match the colors loosely rather than exactly. The mood matters more than perfect color sampling.
